Queen’s Raw Bar & Grill in Eagle Rock is throwing a crabiversary on Sunday, July 6, to celebrate its two-year anniversary. From noon to 6 p.m. The seafood-centric spot from Chef Ari Kolender and recent author of the new cookbook How to Cook the Finest Things in the Sea, will be doing a Charleston-inspired lowcountry seafood boil accompanied by live music, cocktails, and raw bar.
Tickets are $30 via Resy and include a combination of shrimp, potatoes, sweet corn, and linguiça sausages simmered in beer and aromatics, served with lemon and dipping sauces, and a jar of Chef Ari’s new bay seasoning blend. Queen’s raw bar and signature dishes, in addition to the recently launched cocktail program alongside beer, wine, sake, and n/a drinks, will all be available a la carte.
From Friday, June 20 through Monday, Sept. 1, Santa Monica Proper Hotel is partnering with Loreto, the Frogtown favorite celebrated for its Baja-inspired seafood, for an exclusive summer pop-up on the hotel’s breezy Calabra Terrace and Lounge.

The historic seaside Georgian hotel and Angeleno Amaro have a delightfully bitter Angeleno Hour on Wednesday, June 25, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Sirena. Known for their herbaceous and complex beverages, Angeleno Amaro will feature three cocktails for $12 each, including the Angeleno Spritz with Angeleno Amaro, soda water, and grapefruit cordial, a Golden Negroni combining gin, Angeleno Amaro, and Bianco vermouth as well as the El Camino with tequila.

Lustig’s Bernhard Mairinger is popping up at the Courtyard Kitchen in Santa Monica on Monday, June 23. The towering Austrian will be serving hamachi crudo with passion fruit, black garlic, soy onions, and classic ramp-spinach dumplings with brown butter porcini nage and truffle pecorino. Also on the menu is a grilled halibut goulash taco with fennel slaw, Meyer lemon, and sour cream. For traditionalists, there’s veal Schnitzel with potato salad, pepper cress, and lingonberry yuzu chutney. A plum tart with a chocolate tonka bean mousse is for dessert. Get tickets here.
