Let's be honest. We all tried to finagle beer when we were kids. (If you didn't, you were either lazy or Amish.) Maybe you were the kid who lurked around town in search of the shadiest liquor store you could find. And once you found it, you sauntered inside, grabbed a six pack, and approached the cash register with feigned nonchalance. 9 times out of 10, the guy asked for your ID. But not even a half-blind nincompoop could mistake you for Eduardo Morales, age 41. The jig was up. Better luck next time.

But on Wednesday, three 19 year-olds in Covina dropped the charade all together, and opted for a much more direct, and far less legal tactic. The trio allegedly entered Baja Ranch Market around 3 p.m., snatched a 30-pack of Tecate, and made a run for it. The only problem was an employee gave chase, and they hit him with their car as they tried to escape. Now they're behind bars — possibly for a very long time.

According to the Los Angeles Times, all three suspects are to be arraigned today. They're facing charges of robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, and resisting arrest. The moral of the story? If you're under 21, do what you have to do, but try not to be a moron.
