Feel sad about those helpless kids living on the streets of Tijuana and Ensenada? Then do something about it, like take part in the April 22 benefit for Corazon de Vida Foundation at Guelaguetza restaurant on Olympic Blvd.

Funds raised will go toward housing and food for orphaned and abandoned children in Baja orphanages. Besides donating money, you can volunteer to help in person.

Learn more about it and have a terrific time at the benefit. Guelaguetza will set up a mole bar, which alone is worth the trip, but you'll also taste tequila provided by Real de Mexico tequila and handcrafted mezcal from Metl.

And there's more–live entertainment by Taller Sur, Erika Vidrio, Tommy Mora and Voz de Mando, a Mexican regional band, which will close the night with an acoustic performance from its latest album.

All this for so little. Tickets are $25, all of which will go to Corazon de Vida, and you can order them online.

Guelaguetza Restaurant: 3014 W. Olympic Blvd., Los Angeles; (213) 427-0608. The event is on April 22nd, at 7 p.m.
