Today, as you may have noticed already, our 99 Essential Restaurants issue has landed at your newsstand, in your in-box, on your laptop or wherever you're reading this — and hopefully, eventually, repeatedly, on your plate.

This year, unsurprisingly, there are a lot of changes. A new restaurant critic, a LOT of new restaurants, and thus quite a new list. So check out the issue online, which lists each of the 99. Check out the Google map, which gives you a sense of how big this town is from a culinary standpoint, as if you didn't know that already. Click through Anne Fishbein's photo gallery if you're not hungry enough.

And most of all, pick up a copy to keep in your car. Or a few of them, since some of us seem to spill Sriracha on an inordinate number of pages. Maybe next year we'll laminate the issue. Maybe just making newsprint spill-proof would solve everything.
