The man who committed a shocking murder at a “99-cent store” in South L.A. was captured on security video, and now LAPD wants your help finding him, the department said this week.

The attack at the independent retailer in the 7400 block of Broadway happened at 8:50 p.m. on Sept. 17, according to the department:

Thirty-nine-year-old store clerk Martha Sanchez was shot multiple times during the robbery, police said.

According to LAPD:

Shortly thereafter, a customer walked into the store, discovered Sanchez injured and telephoned for assistance. LAPD 77th Area officers and investigators searched for the suspect while Los Angeles City Fire Department paramedics responded and transported Sanchez to a local hospital, where she later died.

The suspect, seen calmly walking outside the store, was never found.

The victim left behind a husband and five children ages 3 to 19, according to LAPD.
