One Man Killed Following Fatal Crash on Golden Springs Drive

DIAMOND BAR, CA (September 13, 2021) – A 83-year-old man lost his life Wednesday afternoon after a multi-car crash on Golden Springs Drive in Diamond Bar.

The accident occurred around 2:00 p.m. in the area of Golden Springs Drive and Brea Canyon Road on September 8th.

According to reports, a Mercedes-Benz C230 traveling north ran a red light and hit a car making a left onto Brea Canyon and another vehicle making a right turn.

The Mercedes collided with a number of other vehicles before slamming head-on with a Honda.

Emergency crews arrived at the scene and rushed the 83-year-old Mercedes driver to a hospital, but later succumbed to his injuries.

Meanwhile, other medics took the driver of the Honda with minor injuries to Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center.

In addition, a woman driving one of the other vehicles complained of arm pain but did not require medication.

At this time, CHP withheld the identities of all parties involved. 

The cause of the fatal Diamond Bar accident is still being investigated.
