Eight Hurt in Three-Car Accident near Braeburn Road
APPLE VALLEY, CA (December 14, 2022) – Saturday afternoon, eight victims sustained injuries in a wrong-way crash on Bear Valley Road.
Police responded to the scene around 2:12 p.m., at the 20340 block of Bear Valley Road near Braeburn Road on December 3rd.
The collision involved a blue sedan, a white SUV, and a brown pickup truck. According to a witness, the blue sedan was traveling at a high rate of speed in the center divider and veered onto oncoming traffic, causing a collision.
Due to the impact of the crash, the driver of the blue sedan suffered severe mouth trauma. Crews say two of the eight occupants were listed in critical condition. Additionally, officers say several occupants were children.
Tow-trucks arrived at the scene just after 3:00 p.m., to clear the roadway which blocked the eastbound lanes of Bear Valley Road. At this time, an active investigation into the wrong-way crash on Bear Valley Road is still currently underway.
