Multiple Injuries Reported after Car Collides into Fresheria Restaurant on Logan Avenue at Interstate 805
SAN DIEGO, CA (November 9, 2021) – At least 8 people were injured Tuesday after a car crashes into a restaurant on Interstate 805.
The accident happened around the afternoon of November 2, at Fresheria Balanced Tasty Food at the corner of Logan Avenue and South 47th Street, east of I-805.
According to reports, a 21-year-old woman speeding through a red light collided with a westbound car.
Due to the impact, the car crashed into the Fresheria, injuring customers in the restaurant.
Responding medics sent at least 8 injured persons to hospitals for treatment of various injuries.
Furthermore, police stated that the injured victims included a pregnant woman and her 3-year-old child, patrons of the restaurant, and the 2 occupants of the car.
Police have not released their current conditions at this time.
Eventually, police officers found the alleged hit-and-run driver a short distance from the crash site and took her into custody. Although, authorities did not released her identity.
An active investigation is still continuing at this moment. Authorities will update more information when it becomes available.
