Rider Dies after Deadly Crash on 5 Freeway

SAN CLEMENTE, CA (September 8, 2021) – On Monday morning, a 65-year-old motorcyclist tragically died after a fatal crash on 5 Freeway.

The collision happened on the 5 Freeway near El Camino Real around 10:15 a.m. on September 6.

The cause of the crash is still unknown, according to the California Highway Patrol, but it involved a 2010 Harley-Davidson and a 2008 SUV Ford Explorer.

Officers arrived on the scene and discovered the 65-year-old rider dead. At this time, the CHP has not released his name.

A third vehicle, a 2012 Honda Civic, was also involved in the crash, but all three occupants were unharmed, according to CHP.

The CHP are still investigating the motorcycle crash on the 5 Freeway,  more information will be released once available.
