64-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Accident on Pearblossom Highway

LITTLE ROCK, CA (August 26, 2021) – On Monday night, a 64-year-old Pearblossom man was hit and killed by a car on Pearblossom Highway (138).

The crash occurred on the westbound Pearblossom (138) Highway east of 96th Street East at 8:22 p.m. on August 23.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the victim ran from the east shoulder across the eastbound and westbound lanes and was hit by a westbound 2019 Hyundai driven by a 50-year-old Burbank woman at about 55 mph.

The unidentified pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of the impact.

The driver, on the other hand, pulled over and cooperated with the officers.

In addition, the California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert in the area for a few hours, but all lanes reopened around 10:51 p.m.
