60-Year-Old Female Pedestrian Seriously Hurt after Hit-and-Run Accident in San Diego

San Diego, CA (February 19, 2021) – Monday night, a 60-year-old woman was injured in a hit-and-run crash on Cardiff Street.

Officers first arrived at the scene around 7:00 p.m., at the 1100 block of Cardiff Street.

According to reports, a car was heading south along Cardiff Street when they struck the victim. Due to the impact of the collision, the female pedestrian suffered a broken pelvis, lung breakdown, and several broken ribs.

In addition, authorities also say the woman was not walking in a marked crosswalk at the time, noting she was wearing dark clothes when hit by the driver.

Authorities reported that the vehicle involved is a dark-colored SUV, which was last seen on Carlisle Drive to the west. They encourage witnesses with further information to contact their offices immediately.
