Young Child Killed in Two-Vehicle Accident on Val Vista Drive

GILBERT, AZ (December 16, 2021) –  Thursday afternoon, a 6-year-old child was pronounced dead after a collision on Baseline Road.

The crash happened around 2:30 p.m., near Baseline Road and Val Vista Drive. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.

At this time, the events leading up to the collision remain unclear. However, reports indicate that two vehicles were involved.

Upon arrival, first responders located the severely injured child and transported them to a nearby hospital. Despite life-saving efforts, medics later pronounced the young vicim dead.

The surrounding area was closed for several hours during preliminary duties, but has since reopened.

There have been no details revealed on what caused the crash. At this time, authorities have not disclosed any further information about the collision on Baseline Road.
