Dennis RomeroA 21-year-old driving a late-model Camaro the wrong way on a Southern California freeway caused the deaths of six people over the weekend, the California Highway Patrol said.
The suspect was identified as Fontana resident Olivia Carolee Culbreath. She survived with major injuries and is now under arrest on suspicion of manslaughter and drunk driving, the CHP said.

… were declared dead at the scene, according to the department. Three women and a man also died, authorities said.
The red Camaro was driving east in westbound lanes of the 60 freeway near Diamond Bar Boulevard about 4:40 a.m. yesterday when it struck a red Ford Explorer head-on, according to cops and TV reports.
A third vehicle was also involved but those inside suffered only minor injuries, CHP officer Rodrigo Jimenez told reporters at the scene.
Culbreath was hospitalized with a fractured femur and a ruptured bladder, he said.

The woman's sister was among the dead, CBS Los Angeles reported.
“They really didn't stand a chance,” Jimenez said. ” … There were reports that she was traveling at a high rate of speed.”
He told reporters that suspected wrong-way drunk drivers often end up in the left lanes because they think they're going the right way, in the slow lanes.
