At Least 6 Hospitalized after School Bus Collision on Avenue J1

LANCASTER, CA (March 3, 2022) – A school bus accident on 53rd Street West left at least six victims with injuries, Friday morning.

The incident occurred at 7:30 a.m., in a residential neighborhood near the intersection of 53rd Street West and Avenue J1.

As per reports, a school bus and another vehicle collided at the junction, under unknown circumstances. Police say the school bus, which was carrying children, halted and injured several people inside.

At this time, it is unconfirmed how many children were on the bus at the time of the accident. However, responding officers transported a total of six patients with injuries to nearby hospitals.

Furthermore, officials have not yet released a description of the second vehicle or its driver. However, an active investigation remains underway.
