Pedestrian Crash on North Sunrise Way Results in the death of Donald Greco
PALM SPRINGS, CA (August 09, 2021) – 59-year-old Donald Greco lost his life Wednesday morning after a truck hit him on the crosswalk on North Sunrise Way in Palm Springs.
The accident tragically happened before 5:30 a.m. August 4, in the area of North Sunrise Way just south of East Vista Chino Drive.
The CHP says the events leading up to the accident are still unknown. However, Police along with fire crews arrived on the scene within three minutes of the report and pronounced Greco dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.
During the investigation, police closed the area of North Sunrise Way and Vista Chino Drive but has reopened by 11:30 a.m.
At this time, an active investigation remains ongoing. Once available, more information will be released.
