5 Hurt in Auto Collision near Burbank Avenue in Santa Rosa
SANTA ROSA, CA (September 7, 2021) – Thursday night, five people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash on Sebastopol Road.
The collision occurred at the intersection of Sebastopol Road and Burbank Avenue around 8:20 p.m., on September 2.
According to police, a 16-year-old boy was driving a silver BMW sedan east on Sebastopol Road. He then collided with another car just east of Stony Point Road.
The teen then fled the scene and shortly after, collided with a westbound black GMC pickup truck turning southbound onto Burbank Avenue. The pickup rolled over as a result of the impact.
Medics rushed the driver of the BMW and his passengers, a 21-year-old man and a 15-year-old girl, to the hospital for treatment of major injuries.
Meanwhile, a male passenger in the pickup was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
At this time, authorities have not released any additional information; however, officials believe impairment was a factor in the collision.
