In 2014, we put together a slideshow of 50 horror movie locations throughout the L.A. area. We visited the fictional towns of Cuesta Verde, Springwood, Haddonfield and more. Well, we're back this year with another 40 terrifying spots from some films that hadn't existed three years ago or just didn't make the cut the last time around. This year, along with photographing some locations from horror films set in L.A., we visited “Chicago,” “Omaha,” the Western town of Bright Hope, the vampire enclave of Santa Clara and more.

All photos by Jared Cowan except where noted.

Please keep in mind that some of these locations are on private property. Do not trespass or disturb the owners (or the ghosts and ghouls that may inhabit these locations).
