CEO of 40 Clips Productions, Muhammad Njie, is a young entrepreneur with a clear vision for the progression of music services. He describes his journey as: “A reminder for people to reconsider the freedom and limitless potential of true creativity. I don’t want artists to become stagnant with their music. Instead, I want them to use it as a way to catapult themselves into the industry in the most individualistic way—staying true to what led them to music in the first place.” Artists are the focal point of Muhammad’s work as he seeks to serve their needs rather than contemporary industry trends.

Since the early days of his youth, Muhammad has had a keen interest in musical expression, improving his musical literacy through learning to read notes and playing the flute, guitar, and piano. By the time he reached college, Muhammad had begun producing beats and developing his original sound. Gravitating toward the music scene, he began exploring production software like Fruity Loops, Ableton, and Pro Tools. As he continued spending more time exploring his musical inclinations, Muhammad met with sound engineers across New York City and refined his craft through networking with artists, studio owners, sound engineers, and producers.

Cultivating a broad array of experience, Muhammad started undertaking internship opportunities and embarking on formal employment within the music industry. Specifically, he attended a three-month program with Quad Recording Studios, NYC and interned as an engineer and producer with WonWorld Studios. This elevated Muhammad’s knowledge of the music scene as he gathered experience in sound quality and equipment specifics. He comments, “I most enjoyed watching artists grow and eventually get signed to recording labels. I knew I wanted to play a part in this transition as labels often have a way of changing artists into what they deem as marketable. This is where 40 Clips Productions is different. We prioritize the individual qualities of the artist, focusing on their storytelling style and musical outreach.”

Today, 40 Clips Productions continues to produce new sounds and propel future artists in a revolutionary direction. Muhammad is an innovator in this space, and today, he seeks partnership opportunities with existing labels who share his vision for creative freedom and the development of original artistry.
