Truck Kills 4-year-old Nairah Johnson in Walmart Parking Lot – [Glendale, AZ]

Glendale, AZ (March 3, 2021) – A 4-year-old girl, Nairah Johnson, was killed by a truck in a Walmart parking lot while walking with her family. The accident happened Wednesday, March 3rd, just before 10:30 AM, near 56th and Northern avenues.

Nairah Johnson was walking with her grandmother, mother and, 3-year-old brother Robert on the sidewalk heading into the store. Then, a 68-year-old woman in a Nissan Frontier drove up onto the sidewalk, hitting the family. As a result of the impact, Nairah Johnson was pinned under the truck.

Responders rushed the girl to the hospital with life-threatening injuries where she later died. Paramedics also transported her brother and mother to the hospital with less serious injuries. First responders treated the grandmother at the scene.

After the incident, the driver of the Nissan remained on the scene and fully cooperated with the police. The investigation is ongoing.

The family has set up a GoFundMe page to help pay for Nairah’s funeral expenses.
