Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Parking Lot near Vons Grocery Store

VICTORVILLE, CA (October 21, 2021) – Saturday afternoon, a 4-year-old girl was killed in a pedestrian crash near Hesperia Road.

The accident happened around 3:28 p.m., at 12199 Hesperia Road, near a Vons grocery store parking lot. Officers responded to the scene shortly after.

According to Victorville Police, a car backed over the child in the parking lot for unexplained reasons. First responders located the unresponsive 4-year-old child from Apple Valley with major injuries.

Emergency personnel rushed the child to Desert Valley Hospital, where she later died due to the extent of her injuries.

In addition, the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

Authorities did not release any additional information at this time. However, an active investigation is underway.
