Young Boy Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Crash near Yuma Road

BUCKEYE, AZ (November 23, 2022) – Sunday afternoon, a 4-year-old boy was killed in a pedestrian collision on Watson Road.

First responders arrived to the scene near the intersection of Watson and Yuma Road on November 20th.

Officers say the driver of a pickup-truck struck a boy who was crossing the street at the time.

Paramedics arrived and transported the 4-year-old boy to a nearby hospital where he later died. Authorities have not yet released his identity.

Meanwhile, the driver of the pickup-truck remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.

Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Once available, more details will be provided about the pedestrian collision on Watson Road.
