4 Dead after Fatal Semi-Truck Accident on US 93 in Wickenburg

WICKENBURG, AZ (June 22, 2021) – Monday morning, four people died and one was injured in a deadly semi-truck crash on U.S. 93.

The crash occurred on U.S 93, near State Route 71. Dispatchers arrived to the area shortly after.

According to DPS, a vehicle crossed the center line and collided with a semi-truck as a result. Although, the events leading up still remain unclear.

The driver of the car and three passengers were pronounced dead on scene, due to the extent of their condition. The front-seat passenger was taken to a hospital for further medical attention.

In addition, the semi-truck driver suffered minor injuries.

The surrounding area on U.S. 93 was closed in both directions for about 6 hours after the crash. But, the roadway has since reopened.

No further details have been given. However, the crash is still under active investigation.
