Four Hurt in 2-Car Red Light Accident on Hunte Parkway
CHULA VISTA, CA (October 27, 2022) – Saturday night, four victims sustained injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Otay Lakes Road.
Authorities responded to the scene around 10:16 p.m., near Hunte Parkway on October 22nd.
Investigators say the driver of a truck ran a red light and struck a vehicle containing four occupants at the intersection.
Firefighters arrived shortly after and extricated one male passenger inside one of the vehicles. Meanwhile, two other male occupants suffered major injuries and the female passenger of the truck sustained moderate injuries. They were all transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties before it was later reopened.
At this time, an active investigation into the red light collision is still underway. Once available, further details will be provided about the two-vehicle crash on Otay Lakes Road.
