2 Victims Critically Injured in Multi-Car Accident near Summit Road

CHIRIACO SUMMIT, CA (December 10, 2021) Sunday night, four people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 10.

The accident occurred around 11:41 p.m., on the westbound lanes of the freeway near the Summit Road on-ramp. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.

The events leading up to the crash remain unclear. However, reports indicate that the collision involved two unspecified cars.

Responding authorities requested two air ambulances to the site to carry the pediatric patients to a hospital. At this time, officials did not specify the conditions of the two adults who sustained minor injuries.

Furthermore, officers do not believe drugs or alcohol played a significant role in the crash. Authorities are currently conducting an active investigation, and they will release updates once available.
