2 Adults, 2 Children Hospitalized after Big-Rig Crash near Jefferson Street

TOLLESON, AZ (September 26, 2022) – Early Friday evening, four victims were injured in a semi-truck accident on 83rd Avenue.

The incident happened around 5:15 p.m., near Jefferson Street on September 23rd.

Investigators say the driver of a pickup-truck was heading south when it collided with a semi-truck that was turning onto northbound 83rd Avenue. Medics arrived and transported two adults and two children to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

Officers say one of the injured children was 4-years-old and the other was 1-year-old. Although, authorities have not yet released their identities. In addition, the driver of the semi-truck did not suffer any injuries.

Following preliminary investigations, officers do not suspect that impairment played a factor. However, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.

Emergency crews closed both the north and southbound lanes on 83rd Avenue for several hours during investigation and clearing duties.
