Victim Trapped Underneath Vehicle after Pedestrian Crash on 5th Street

LOS ANGELES, CA (September 10, 2021) – Tuesday morning, four people were injured in a pedestrian accident on South Virgil Avenue in Los Angeles.

Per reports, the collision occurred around 6:00 a.m., at the 500 block of South Virgil Avenue.

Officers say a southbound vehicle struck a car that was heading east on 5th Street. Upon impact, one of the cars veered into a nearby sidewalk and struck a homeless man who was asleep on a sofa.

The man who was hit became pinned underneath the vehicle and had to be freed by firefighters on scene.

In addition, three passengers inside one of the vehicles were injured. Paramedics responded and took all four injured parties to a nearby hospital.

At this time, no further information has been released.
