18-Month-Old Injured Traffic Accident near Olivet Road

SONOMA, CA (March 15, 2022) – Early Friday morning, four people sustained injuries in a multi-vehicle accident on River Road.

The incident occurred around 6:18 a.m., along River Road just east of Olivet Road. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the driver of a passenger vehicle rear-ended another a car that was making a left turn into a driveway. The passenger vehicle then swerved into the westbound lane and collided with a Sonoma County transit bus, head-on.

The force of the collision pushed the bus off the road, down an embankment, before overturning on its side. After the collision, a passerby pulled the injured 18-month-old from a car seat of the severely damaged vehicle.

Paramedics transported the bus and vehicle drivers, as well as the young girl, to a hospital with moderate injuries.

Authorities did not release any additional information at this time.
