4 Injured; Teen Driver Arrested after Solo-Vehicle Collision near State Route 397

PASCO, WA (December 1, 2021) – At least four, including three children were injured in a car accident on Interstate 182, Thursday morning.

The collision happened around 12:28 a.m., on Interstate 182 to southbound State Route 397. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.

According to authorities, a 17-year-old driver failed to handle a curve in the road and collided with a guardrail. The automobile was totaled as a result, and all four occupants were taken to a nearby hospital.

Three of the passengers were children ages 7, 9, and 15. Meanwhile, the driver was unharmed.

Per reports, the driver was traveling too fast for the conditions, and now faces charges for careless driving. Authorities have not yet released their name or place of residency.

At this time, an active investigation remains ongoing. Once available, more information will be released.
