Traffic Accident on Ojai Avenue Left Several Injured
OJAI, CA (April 19, 2022) – Thursday morning, a multi-vehicle crash near Boardman Road left four people hospitalized, police said.
The crash happened around 8:14 a.m. in the 1900 block of East Ojai Avenue, near a local lumber yard.
Furthermore, the responding officials said that the head-on crash sent two vehicles into a nearby ditch, with one rolling over onto its roof.
Moreover, one of the vehicles was reported to be a flatbed tow truck.
Eventually, two people had to be extracted from the rolled-over vehicle.
Both directions of the roadway were temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
Afterward, paramedics transported a 14-year-old victim to Ventura County Medical Center with critical but non-life-threatening injuries.
Medical personnel also transferred three people to various hospitals with less significant injuries.
In total, the crash involved three drivers and one passenger, police said.
Authorities are working to identify the circumstances surrounding the multi-vehicle crash, as an active investigation is currently underway.
