DineLBC is hosting a special one-day only screening of Wasted!: The Story of Food Waste at the Art Theatre at 11 a.m. The documentary was produced by Anthony Bourdain and takes a deeper dive into the way we buy, cook, recycle and eat food, and how we can change our wastefulness as a society. With nearly 40 percent of fresh food going to landfills, it’s shocking to know that in the city of Long Beach, nearly one in eight families are food insecure. Australia is experiencing their worst fire season on record, with at least 30 people killed, and an estimated 1 billion animals lost to the bushfires.
