39-Year-Old Man Riding an ATV Killed after Fatal Crash on Wilbur Avenue near Viera Avenue

ANTIOCH, CA (August 27, 2021) A 39-year-old Antioch man lost his life Wednesday morning following a vehicle versus ATV crash on Wilbur Avenue.

The accident happened around 5:30 a.m. August 25, at Wilbur Avenue near Viera Avenue.

According to reports, the collision between a vehicle and an ATV left a man nonresponsive and suffering major injuries on Wilbur Avenue.

Although life-saving measures were taken, the man died at the scene.

The man did not appear to be wearing a helmet and appeared to be in the middle of the road, according to police.

Meanwhile, the driver who was involved in the accident remained on the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

At this time, drugs or alcohol do not appear to have played a role in the collision. However, an active investigation remains ongoing.
