Pedestrian Dead after Collision near Bethany Home Road

PHOENIX, AZ (November 1, 2021) – A pedestrian crash along Interstate 17 claimed the life of a 32-year-old man, early Thursday morning.

According to the authorities, the pedestrian crash took place at the southbound lanes of traffic near Bethany Home Road, as per report.

Reports indicate that a tractor-trailer struck the man around 5:25 a.m. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.

The surrounding area on Interstate 17 was closed during cleanup and preliminary duties, but has since reopened.

At this time, it is currently unknown why the pedestrian was in the road at the time of the incident. The investigation is currently underway for the fatal pedestrian crash on I-17.
