Vibe: Rayhun Gourmet Sandwiches & Salads is in a convenient location, across the way from the Americana and rows of offices alongside Brand Blvd. There are no shortage of options with Porto's and Carousel within close walking distance; then again it doesn't seem like there'd be a shortage of customers either. Given the hours and its proximity to Glendale's business district, the regulars arrive mostly around lunch.

Menu: The menu is simple: a dozen sandwiches and four salad options. All made-to-order sandwiches come with a side of potato salad and a dill pickle spear. We ordered the pesto chicken sandwich, which is made with fresh basil leaves, lettuce and tomato. The chicken is flavored with less salt than one might expect in a pesto, which the owner explained was for those who look for lower sodium content in their sandwiches. It seems to be a lunch spot that pays attention to customer feedback — one that regulars count on for their usual, and made the way they like them. And sometimes, that's exactly what's needed during the lunch crush.
