Fatal Three-Vehicle Accident near Road 52

TULARE COUNTY, CA (August 10, 2021) – Sunday afternoon, three people were pronounced dead after a DUI collision on Avenue 368.

The crash took place near Road 52 around 3:30 p.m., as stated by the report. Dispatchers arrived to the area shortly after.

According to reports, the driver of a Toyota Camry was traveling at high speeds when he veered into the opposing lane of traffic.

There, the Camry crashed head-on into a Honda Odyssey minivan. Two men and one woman were inside the minivan at the time.

The impact sent the Camry into a Chevy Tahoe, occupying a family of five. A man, a mother, and three children sustained minor injuries.

Medics say the two men occupying the minivan, as well as the Camry driver were pronounced dead.

Officers say the Camry smelled of alcohol, and numerous beer cans were found in the vehicle.

In addition, witnesses say the Camry driver was speeding above the 55 mph speed limit.

Once available, more information will be released about the DUI collision on Avenue 368.
