Traffic Collision near Sheep Creek Road Left Three Fatalities

PHELAN, CA (October 6, 2022) – Sunday evening, three were killed, and several others sustained injuries after a two-vehicle crash on SR-138.

The deadly collision happened around 5:43 p.m. near Sheep Creek Road, on State Route 138.

According to the investigation, a westbound white Mitsubishi sedan crossed the double-yellow lines for unknown reasons and collided head-on with a blue 2000 Silverado 1500. The impact separated the sedan into two parts.

Responding medical personnel transported at least two people to nearby hospital. Paramedics airlifted several other patients to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.

Unfortunately, the coroner’s office pronounced a 49-year-old, a 69-year-old, and a 63-year-old dead. Although, their identity has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin.

No further details regarding the SR-138 two-vehicle crash have been released to the public. However, Phelan Officials will provide more information once available.
