Let's face it, we humans are a gluttonous bunch. Or maybe a more optimistic way to look at it would be to say that we're insatiable idealists, constantly feeding our desires in hopes of satisfying our hunger with the perfect feast.

But if the all-you-can-eat buffet of having accounts with OkCupid, Match.com, eHarmony and Blendr have yet to deliver the gratification you seek, consider adding another round of samples to your smorgasbord.

We've broken down three popular dating apps that tease you with dreams of gratification thanks to the convenience of your handy dandy iPhone. Go ahead, feed your appetite. You might like the taste it leaves in your mouth.

Tingle.com

Pro: Tingle promises to make communication better in that users may speak through phone or text anonymously.

Con: Anonymity does not equal compatibility. Nor satisfaction. Or safety.

Pro: Tingle uses a convenient social activity stream with check-ins, photos and status updates.

Con: Do we really need another social networking stream to follow?

Pro: Like Blendr and Grindr, Tingle is location-based, which means you can locate people near you in real-time.

Con: Sometimes you don't want to get your meat where you get your coffee.

Party at The Colony with Tingle this Fri., Sept. 30, 10 p.m. 1743 North Cahuenga Blvd.

LocalSin.com

Pro: If being “bad” gets you off, this most likely is the “dating” app for you.

Con: Finding out what your creepy coworker really does on their lunch hour.

Pro: Their Facebook app is supposed to help locate “hotties” and allow you to share with your friends.

Con: Your friends don't need to know that you hooked up with a “fugly” and not a “hottie.”

Pro: While sites like eHarmony concentrate on love and relationships, LocalSin puts greater emphasis on “find a person or party who are available for a fling” of all sexual orientations, such as pan-sexual (i.e., most anything and everything goes).

Con: None, if you're a freak. If you're looking for everlasting love on an app called LocalSin, you're probably a masochist. Sure, it could happen, but we wouldn't count on it.

iSocialConnect.com

Pro: It bills itself as the “fastest growing new Facebook dating app,” which, at the very least, sounds impressive.

Con: It has a site that looks like it was built in the late '90s, post-Angelfire. Would you trust your sex life to a relic? That's what we thought.

Pro: A section called Favescape that allows you to browse local hot spots via Citysearch to better help you find a date location.

Con: Citysearch to plan a date? Whatever happened to just using one's imagination? What, too old school?

Pro: The Guardian feature, which allows a user to send the date's info to friends for safety reasons, as well as create an alibi if you need to bail on your date

Con: Alright, we have to admit, this is pretty nifty.
