Three Hospitalized after Fiery Multi-Car Accident near 24th Street

PHOENIX, AZ (August 30, 2023) – Wednesday evening, three victims were injured in a fiery multi-vehicle collision on Loop 202 Red Mountain.

Police responded to the scene around 6:30 p.m., on the westbound lanes of the freeway near 24th Street on August 23rd.

Per reports, multiple vehicles collided in the area. Upon impact, one of the vehicles became engulfed in flames.

Paramedics arrived and transported three victims to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Meanwhile, crews treated one victim for minor injuries.

Firefighters were able to put out the fire, and both west and eastbound lanes were blocked during the length of the operation. At 10:00 p.m., all lanes on the freeway were reopened to traffic.
