At Least Three Hurt, 2 Airlifted after Multi-Car Crash on West 32nd Street

YUMA, CA (July 1, 2022) – Three victims were injured Sunday evening, after a driver ran a red light on Avenue B, and caused a collision.

The incident occurred around 11:20 p.m., near the intersection of South Avenue B and West 32nd Street.

Per reports, a man driving a GMC Sierra drove through a red light at the intersection and was struck by a Nissan Armada.

The impact of the collision caused the GMC to roll over on top of a nearby Chevy Malibu.

Paramedics arrived and transported at least two people to Yuma Regional Medical Center before they later airlifted them to a Phoenix hospital.

Following preliminary duties, police believe that alcohol may have been a contributing factor. However, an active investigation is still currently underway.
