Infant and Mother Ejected from Vehicle after Crash in Torrance

TORRANCE, CA (August 3, 2021) Authorities are investigating a crash on Torrance that left an infant and her mother with serious injuries.

The incident happened just before 5 p.m. on Thursday at West 220th Street and South Western Avenue, when the unidentified woman attempted a U-turn, striking another vehicle.

In addition, one other person received injuries from the two-vehicle crash.

At this time, the identities of the involved parties, including the mother and the infant in critical condition, remain unavailable.

The Torrance Police Department is working to identify the circumstances surrounding the crash.
