2. All about Gene Kelly for one night only

Patricia Ward Kelly, who started as Gene Kelly’s biographer and then became his wife, hosts Gene Kelly: The Legacy. This celebration of the late dancer, director and choreographer includes film clips, previously unreleased audio recordings, personal memorabilia, and her insights. More info at GeneKelly.com. 1. A red ribbon dance festival

Anyone who made a resolution to explore L.A.’s performing arts can jump start the new year with a sampling of what is new with both established and emerging SoCal dance companies as 18 dance companies, mostly contemporary, but some hip hop and ballet, have been assembled for the 3rd annual Awakenings and Beginnings Dance Festival.
