Crash on 27th Avenue Involving School Buses Injured 3 Students on Board

KENNEWICK, WA (October 11, 2021) – At least 3 students sustained injuries after their school bus was involved in a crash on 27th Avenue on Tuesday.

The collision happened around 8:00 a.m. on October 5, at the intersection of E. 27th Avenue and S. Gum Street.

According to witnesses, a white sedan failed to stop at the red light, for reasons unknown, broadsided the school bus at the intersection.

Responding medics treated the three student at the scene and boarded them onto another bus to Cascade Elementary.

Meanwhile, officials closed the area for several hours for cleanup.

At this time, authorities have not yet released a description of the driver involved. However, an active investigation remains ongoing.
