One Hospitalized after Semi-Truck Accident near Towne Avenue

CLAREMONT, CA (August 3, 2022) – Early Thursday morning, one victim was hospitalized after 3 big-rigs collided on Interstate 210.

The crash occurred around 3:50 a.m., near the Towne Avenue off-ramp.

At this time, the events leading up to the incident remain unclear. However, reports indicate that at least one of the involved semi-trucks overturned.

Medical responders arrived and transported one person to a nearby hospital for unspecified injuries. Although, authorities have not yet released their identity.

Meanwhile, the California Highway Patrol initiated a SigAlert around 4:22 a.m. for at least 90 minutes and extended it for 3 hours more to clear out the scene.

At this time, Claremont Officials continue to investigate the Interstate 210 big-rig crash.

Because of their sheer size, large vehicles like semi-trucks and trailers increase the risk of a crash. If you’re driving one, always be mindful of the vehicle’s large height and weight. Maintain your travel lane and follow the speed limit. Also, adjust accordingly to give way for lane changes and other vehicles.
