Drug possession and sales allegations reportedly prompted most of the 21 felony arrests at the weekend's Audiotistic rave in San Bernardino that was organized by the same people behind the controversial Electric Daisy Carnival event at the Los Angeles Coliseum last month. Fifteen people were hospitalized, according to the San Bernardino Sun.

“Although there were still some issues to report, the number of problems is an mprovement over past events of this nature,” Lt. Jarrod Burguan said, according to the paper.

About 25,000 people attended the event at the National Orange Show Events Center. The party was organized under a new 18-and-older policy implemented by the promoter.

“Audiotistic 2010 proves that Insomniac Events knows how to produce a safe and secure music festival and that an 18 and older policy can be implemented successfully,” stated Pasquale Rotella, the CEO of Insomniac Events, which organized the event.

The relatively good news came on the heels of horrific reports from Germany, where 19 people died in a crush at the annual Love Parade rave on Saturday.

Saturday's San Bernardino event was the follow-up to Electric Daisy Carnival, which saw 60 arrests, more than 200 medical emergencies, and some issues with gatecrashing. A 15-year-old girl who apparently took ecstasy died after attending the rave, prompting county officials to declare a moratorium on new rave-like events at the Coliseum/Sports Arena complex.

However, events that had previously been approved under contract were allowed to go forward, which means, in effect, the raves will go on for now.
