Obsessed with Boardwalk Empire? Yeah, so are we. And so is LACMA apparently, since it's throwing its first New Year's Eve party in Nucky Thompson-esque, roaring '20s style. That means with booze, of course. None of that Prohibition nonsense. There are two ways you could go with the Golden Stag New Year's Eve Party. The $50 “Fellas and Flappers” ticket buys you access to the Park Plaza, which boasts an absinthe bar, cigars, and a Grand Ballroom with an 18-piece orchestra kicking those Charleston tunes. Or if you're feeling like a big spender, $150 will allow you to go downstairs where VIP “Big Daddies and Leading Ladies” can hit the speakeasy featuring private burlesque, themed cocktails, and “untold sultry surprises.” (Insert incest joke here, which was almost more surprise than we could handle.) The extra cash will also get you a reserved table and a hosted bar, but even the cheap seats include a gratis champagne toast. LACMA, 5905 Wilshire Blvd.; Sat., Dec. 31, 9 p.m.; $50/$150. (323) 857-6010, lacma.org.

Sat., Dec. 31, 9 p.m., 2011
