Two Women Hurt in Rollover Accident near Highway 101

SANTA BARBARA, CA (November 3, 2022) – Tuesday morning, two women sustained injuries in a rollover crash on El Sueno Road.

The incident occurred around 10:15 p.m., near the northbound Highway 101 off-ramp.

For reasons under investigation, the driver of a Honda CRV lost control and overturned in the area before coming to rest on Calle Real. Firefighters arrived and used the Jaws of Life to extricate the two female occupants inside the vehicle.

Paramedics then transported the two women via AMR ambulances to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.

Following preliminary investigations, officers say the driver was traveling recklessly at speeds above 100 mph prior to the collision.

Authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved. At this time, an active investigation to determine further information about the rollover crash on El Sueno Road is still currently underway.
