Several Hurt in Auto Collision near Crenshaw Boulevard

LOS ANGELES, CA (March 15, 2022) – Thursday morning, two officers sustained injuries in a wrong-way crash on 10 Freeway.

According to the California Highway Patrol, officers responded shortly after 2:00 a.m., on the westbound side of the freeway near Crenshaw Boulevard.

Authorities claimed that the driver did not show signs of stopping despite a traffic break that was set up. As a result, officers intentionally collided with the wrong-way driver to prevent him from hitting others.

Upon impact, the involved officers sustained minor injuries while the motorist remained unresponsive with a pulse. Eventually, medical personnel took all three to a hospital for further treatment.

At this time, it is unclear whether the wrong-way driver was under the influence. However, Los Angeles Officials are still currently investigating the crash.
