2 Men Pronounced Dead after DUI Accident near North McCarran Boulevard
RENO, NV (July 17, 2023) – Tuesday evening, two men were killed and Ervin Peter was arrested after a DUI crash on US 395.
Police responded to the scene around 11:15 p.m., near North McCarran Boulevard on July 4th.
Per reports, the driver of a southbound Honda sedan lost control and veered off the road before striking dirt and overturning. The vehicle then came to rest on the off-ramp to Clear Acre Lane.
Medics arrived and pronounced two male passengers inside the Honda dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released their identities.
Following preliminary duties, officers say the involved driver fled the scene. However, crews later located and arrested the suspect, 34-year-old Ervin Peter for suspected DUI.
At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway. Once available, more details will be provided.
