Passenger and Toddler Dead after Two-Vehicle Collision near Southern Avenue

TEMPE, AZ (November 1, 2021) –  A man and a 2-year-old toddler died in a wrong-way crash on Price Road late Monday night, on October 25.

Authorities arrived to the scene in the northbound lanes of Price Road near Southern Avenue shortly after.

According to reports, a vehicle was traveling north in the southbound lanes of the highway for reasons unknown. As a result, multiple vehicles collided under unknown circumstances.

Investigators say the wrong-way vehicle had four people inside, including a juvenile driver. In addition, a 2-year-old child and a passenger were pronounced dead. Moreover, several other victims suffered injuries.

Officers say the child’s mother sustained non life-threatening injuries. At this time, authorities are yet to disclose the identities of the victims and the offender.

Additionally, an active investigation remains ongoing.
