Fatal Collision on Willard Street Results in Fatality

LONG BEACH, CA (August 17, 2021) – Two people were killed, and two suffered injuries Monday morning after a two-vehicle crash on Pacific Avenue.

The accident happened around 1:40 a.m., on August 16. Officers arrived at the intersection of Pacific Avenue and Willard Street.

According to reports, a 2017 Honda Civic and a 2015 Toyota Camry were involved. For reasons unknown, a 44-year-old woman driving the Honda north on Pacific Avenue struck the Toyota.

The cause of the crash is still unknown.

Medics arrived and pronounced a female passenger of the Toyota dead at the scene. The driver of the Toyota, a 21-year-old Long Beach woman, was taken to a local hospital where she died a short time later.

The driver of the Honda and her 30-year-old male passenger were taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Furthermore, officials closed the intersection for cleanup and investigation.

More information will be released about the two-vehicle crash on Pacific Avenue, once available.
