Man and 15-Year-Old Girl Dead after Two-Vehicle Crash near Hosking Avenue

BAKERSFIELD, CA (March 8, 2023) – Early Saturday morning, a fiery auto collision on Highway 99 claimed the lives of two people, including a 15-year-old girl. Officers responded to the collision on March 4th, around 3:10 a.m., near Hosking Avenue and Highway 99. According to reports, a Honda, occupied by three people, failed to stop at a dead-end and entered the freeway. There, the vehicle was struck by a Dodge pickup, causing the Honda to catch fire. The driver of the Honda manages to escape from the wreck with serious injuries. However, the Honda’s passengers, an adult, and a 15-year-old girl were trapped in the car. First responders at the site of the collision pronounced the man and the 15-year-old girl dead at the scene. Meanwhile, medics transported the driver of the Honda and the occupants of the Dodge truck to a local hospital for treatment.
